iPad is a shot across the bow of Google Chrome OS
It hit me walking to the metro tonight . The iPad is a Chrome OS competitor. It is a closed, managed, internet-based computing device.
It is computing for dummies. No malware to worry about (yet). No updates to manage. No underlying OS to play with, infect or break. It is a media machine. An internet machine for consuming media, composing text, and communicating.

Android client for Exchange servers?
Android users,
I have a Moto Droid that I use for work email on our Exchange server. The built-in client is decent. Moxier ($25) is a pretty good suite of email/calendar/contacts/tasks but still falls short of the mark. Has anyone used any of the Touchdown software?

Really Project Runway?

In an age where everyone seems to complain about poor customer service, I’ve had two really great experiences in the past two weeks.

Comcast: Go Die In A Fire.
I hate Comcast. Excuse me while I get something off my chest.
Intermittant outages every night. But only after 11pm.
Total inability to troubleshoot over the phone.
Multiple autodialed follow up calls.
When asked to call back “after 7pm” 3:15pm doesn’t cut it. I can’t tell you if my issue is fixed since I am not home.
Did I mention the terrible auto dialer.

Agreed. The Internet was built as an open platform and bits are only 1s and 0s. No matter what you try to duct tape on top of it, you’ll always have 1) more people and 2) smarter people trying to undo your handiwork.
It’s a losing cause.
