The One-Shot Project is aimed at supporting organizations, groups and schools that are already working with children in need. The projects looks for talented children and provides them with education and vocational opportunities through the teaching of photographic, documentary and storytelling skills.
This week they’ve launch a campaign with the purpose to gather the cameras the would need to conduct their summer workshops. Here’s what they asking of you:
If you have a camera that you aren’t using, please consider passing it along. Our current needs are for 20 point & shoot cameras, and 15 DSLR camera bodies with lenses.
There are millions of cameras tucked away that one never uses anymore. Why not donate them?
This is a great idea and a great cause. I’ve already emailed them about the old point & shoot I have sitting in my “to donate” pile. If you’ve got one you should too.
